Ben Bronson

Ben Bronson is the teaching pastor/elder of Pillar Bible Fellowship.  He was born in a farm community in Minnesota with 98 people before his family moved to Oregon in 1988.  He grew up in Southern Oregon where he was saved  by Christ in his middle school years.  Several years later in high school Ben sensed the call of God upon his life and began leading Bible studies on his high school campus.

Immediately after graduating high school Ben entered a pastoral training school and married his wife Natalie a month after its completion.  They moved to Bend, Oregon right away to start out married life together and to assist in a newly planted church in the area.  While living in Bend they were blessed with three amazing children: Charis, Joel, and Alexandra.  Ben owned and operated a construction company for 6 years while also volunteering lots of hours in the church ministry.  Ben was asked to join the staff of Calvary Chapel Bend in 2007, where he served as Associate Pastor and Youth Director until moving to the Hood River Valley.

Ben has known for years that church planting was in his future, but the time and the place were still in question. Ben continued to serve at Calvary Chapel Bend and prayed for God to open a door for church planting.  Through various circumstances showing God’s providence, Hood River became the place that God was unmistakably calling him and his family to.  They are thrilled to be living in the Hood River Valley and anticipate the great things that God is wanting to accomplish through this new body of believers.

Ben enjoys being with his family, leading “Pancakes & Theology” with his kiddos, reading, mountain biking, and camping.  Ben’s greatest desire is to see God glorified as Christ is proclaimed and as he changes lives.
